Australian passport fees

Renew or apply for a passport. Login or create an. Payment is by card only (Visa or MasterCard). Cash, AMEX and other cards are not accepted. Fees are subject to annual indexation.


No GST is payable on passport fees.

Receiving your new passport. You should allow approximately weeks to receive your new passport. The surcharge is currently AUD 1( NIS 2for all adult passport applications and AUD ( NIS 1) for all child applications (under years). Australian dollar amounts are shown as a guide only.


Update on passport arrangements. If you report the details to us, we will cancel the passport to ensure it cannot be misused by another person. If you wish to retain the passport as a memento, we will return it to you after it has been cancelled.

The cost of a new passport – which is tied to CPI – has increased per cent over the. Passport cards are sent via First Class Mail. Glasses may be allowed in rare circumstances where glasses cannot be removed for medical reasons (e.g. the applicant has severe light sensitivity or recently had eye surgery and glasses are necessary to protect their eyes).
